《雅虎體育》兩專家史皮爾斯（Marc J. Spears）、沃納洛斯基（Adrian Wojnarowski）根據訊息來源透露，湖人將簽下自由球員布蘭登-巴斯（Brandon Bass），送走「單打王」尼克楊（Nick Young）。

30歲的巴斯，上賽為塞爾提克出戰82場季賽，先發大前鋒，平均上場23.5分鐘，貢獻10.6分4.9個籃板，命中率為50.4%，是一位效率不錯的球員。目前並不清楚巴斯能拿到一份怎樣的合約。

湖人在交易市場上運作，和溜馬中鋒希伯特（Roy Hibbert）正在敲定合約細節。湖人將會支付他2015-16賽季高達1550萬美元的薪資，同時送出未來選秀的二輪簽，還有可能送走一名球員去溜馬。

為了再簽自由球員，湖人需要清理薪資空間，訊息來源指出，湖人正在積極為尼克-楊、凱利（Ryan Kelly）和薩克雷（Robert Sacre）尋找買家，後二者可能在交易希伯特時，被交易去溜馬。

尼克-楊成為湖人首賣的目標，是他在去年夏天簽下4年2150萬的合約，其次與主帥史考特（Byron Scott）之間關係並不和睦。
