緬甸反對派領袖，前諾貝爾和平獎得主翁山蘇姬，11日在北京人民大會堂，與中國國家主席習近平見面。
翁山蘇姬受中國共產黨邀請，首次訪問中國，雙方針對兩黨的認識與合作交換意見。不過翁山蘇姬全程表情嚴肅，她意有所指的表示，中緬是鄰居，而且鄰居是無法選擇的，因此兩國應該致力合作發展。
翁山蘇姬為爭取緬甸民主而遭軟禁多年，還因此獲諾貝爾和平獎，這次訪中，會不會表態支持同樣獲得和平獎，卻仍被囚禁的劉曉波，考驗她國際形象。有媒體解讀，中國邀請翁山蘇姬，應該是認為她所領導的全國民主聯盟，會在下次大選獲勝，所以才會對她釋出善意。（民視新聞綜合報導）
